Reflection of My Learning Process

12 weeks have passed, and my second semester is coming to an end. This also means that I will be completing this English module very soon. Time really flies. Nevertheless, throughout the learning journey, I have gained a lot of knowledge which is essential to my writing. Through the activities such as grammar presentation, reader’s response writing and problem-solution essay writing, I have learnt how to improve my writing in terms of organisation, content, and language. Now, I have a better understanding on grammar such as the proper usage of tenses and modal verbs. Apart from that, I am also able to ask more wh-questions in the process of essay writing in order to include more content in my essays. All these gradual improvements have enabled me to write better essays. I am glad that I have learnt so much from this module, and I appreciate all the help and effort that has been given by my tutor and classmates to guide me through the learning process.

Learning English is a continuous process, and there is certainly still a lot to learn, even after finishing this module. I will need to further expand my vocabulary and learn how to express my ideas more accurately. Therefore, the process of improving my language skills does not end here. I will continue to learn and improve myself through efforts such as reading, writing, and speaking English in my daily life so that I can become increasingly proficient in this language.

I look forward to the day when I can communicate fluently and confidently in English. I may not know when the day will come, but with continuous efforts, I believe that it is only the matter of time. Right now, I will just patiently take one step at a time and enjoy the learning process. Just like the tortoise who slowly trudged its way to the finishing line, as long as I do not give up learning, my destination will not be far from reach too.
